De student heeft het aantal trekkingen verhoogd, wat volgens mij niet noodzakelijk is. De midrange heeft inderdaad het kleinste aantal varianties, maar het heeft ook veel outliers. Dus dan moeten we een keuze maken, we kunnen ook kiezen voor een grotere spreiding (mean) en als er dan een afwijking is dan valt die nog binnen een bepaald gebied. Meestal wordt inderdaad het rekenkundig gemiddelde genomen, je kan dan de outliers nog wegwerken (als dit geen seizonaliteit is).
