De student formuleerde hier een correct maar vrij beknopt antwoord. De student merkte hier terecht op dat maanden 7 en 10 een sterke stijging en een sterke daling weergeven.
We kunnen dus inderdaad besluiten dat er duidelijk sprake is van invloed van seizoenaliteit.
Op basis van de notched box plots - periodic subseries kunnen we vaststellen dat ook hier de medianen van de maanden 7 en 8 boven die van de andere maanden liggen. Net als bij Q1 moeten we ook hier nagaan of het verschil significant is door te kijken of de notches elkaar overlappen. De notches van maand 7 bijvoorbeeld overlappen enkel met die van maanden 1 en 8. Dus het verschil in mediaan bij maand 7 t.o.v. maanden 1 en 8 is niet significant. T.o.v. de andere maanden wel.
Ten slotte valt op basis van de notches ook nog op te merken dat de mediaan van maand 10 significant lager ligt. Significant omdat de notches van de maand 10 met geen enkele andere maand overlappen.
