In de tabel “standard error” vertonen de getallen kleinere stappen vanaf 0,52 tot en met 0,69. De andere zijn best allemaal grote stappen. Dit zijn dan de extremen en deze moeten we eruit halen.
Dit wil zeggen dat we slechts een betrouwbaarheidsinterval hebben van 17%.
Als het getal onder 58.4420272194292 (tabel: eerste kolom, cijfer bij 0,52) of boven 66.0247332144632 (tabel: eerste kolom, cijfer bij 0,69) ligt is er geen sprake meer van toeval.
Als we deze maximum- en minimuminterval (58.4420272194292 en 66.0247332144632) vervolgens verminderen met het gemiddelde van onze zelfgemaakte tekenreeks (59,37) dan bekomen we respectievelijk -0,93 en 6,65.
De schattingsfout is 2.91414067437663 (tabel: tweede kolom, cijfer bij 0,52) als het getal eronder ligt en 2.99955511102396 (tabel: tweede kolom, cijfer bij 0,69) als het erboven ligt.
De kans dat er een “error” gemaakt wordt ligt dus niet tussen het interval (58.4420272194292 en 66.0247332144632)= een goede interpretatie en synthese van het probleem!
