Een kleine verbetering is dat we de waarde van de nulhypothese vergelijken met het interval en niet de sample mean. 20 valt binnen het interval dus we aanvaarden de nulhypothese. Het gemiddelde van de mannelijke studenten verschillend niet significant van 20 dus mogen we 20 als gemiddelde gebruiken.
