Student maakt verkeerde interpretaties en gebruikt verkeerde grafiek om te antwoorden.
Student maakt gebruik van de mean plot terwijl hier de notched boxplot moest gebruikt worden. Door geen gebruik te maken van de notched boxplot-grafiek zal de student de gegevens niet onderling kunnen vergelijken en geen correcte uitkomst kunnen geven.

Bij het gebruik van de notched boxplots, moet men gaan kijken naar de notches(inkepingen) van de portfolio's. Men moet dan een denkbeeldige lijn trekken ter hoogte van 103,8 omwille van de gestelde voorwaarden (winst van 3,8%). Verder moet er ook rekening gehouden worden met het betrouwbaarheidsinterval dat te vinden is tussen de inkepingen van de boxplots. Indien de denkbeeldige lijn daartussen ligt, is er een mogelijkheid dat de waarde onder de 103,8 kan zijn. Dit mag ook niet tot gevolg dat IND10_UT90 aan alle voorwaarden voldoet en het beste is.
