Er zijn ook geen patronen van het verleden die ons in staat stellen voor voorspellingen te doen = dit experiment is onafhankelijk van het verleden en zal dus niet convergeren naar een horizontale lijn (2e grafiek). Er is geen sprake van saisonaliteit of een trend op de lange termijn.
