We zien hier een patroon in de autocorrelatie dat niet is toe te wijzen aan het toeval.
We kunnen zien dat alle correlaties positief zijn én significant want ze stijgen allen ruim uit boven het betrouwbaarheidsinterval.
Dit patroon is het kenmerk van een lange termijn trend.

Uit deze grafiek valt een hoge positieve aflopende correlatie op te maken. Dit is niet te wijten aan het toeval, maar te wijten aan een lange termijntrend. Deze laatste zorgt voor het patroon in de grafiek.
