Er werd correct de Partial Correlation methode gebruikt.

Deze geeft cijfermatig het verband, de correlatie weer tussen drie verschillende variabelen. De student in kwestie gaf het verband weer tussen de uitvoer van de BLEU Levende dieren en producten van het dierenrijk(x), Producten van het plantenrijk(y) en Minerale producten(z).

De hoogste correlatie 0.669526191480446 werd correct waargenomen tussen reeksen y en z, maw tussen de uitvoer van Producten van het plantenrijk en Minerale producten.

Bij de partial correlation worden 2 variabelen, die gecorreleerd zijn tegenover mekaar geplaatst, terwijl zij iets meer zouden moeten zeggen over een 3de variabele. De correlatie die wordt weergegeven van de tijdreeksen (variabelen 1 en 2) zeggen, worden op hun beurt vergeleken met de correlatie van de 3de variabele. Indien geen verschil is op te tekenen hebben deze tijdreeksen geen effect op mekaar.

De hoogste correlatie (0.669526191480446) die hier te zien is, bestaat tussen de tijdreeksen y (uitvoer van Producten van het plantenrijk ) en z (Minerale producten).
