Geval 4 is een twijfelgeval maar vermoedelijk ook nog goed.

Je hebt blijkbaar enkel maar 1 puntje gecontroleerd, er werden 4 voorwaarden opgegeven...

Het 4de puntje heb je gecontroleerd, ik zet de overige 3 er nog even bij.
Puntje 1: The investor buys at day 1... Hier kan je best de eerste investering nemen. dit portfolio heeft de grootste opbrengst op de 90ste dag (stijging van 9% ten opzichte van de 1ste dag). In de boxplot zie je dit doordat de spreiding groot is en de bovenrand hoger ligt dan de andere boxplots.

Puntje 2: IND10_UT90 (5de) kan je best nemen, omdat de mediaan hier doorgaans hoger ligt is het beter voor investeerders die niet weten wanneer ze het moeten verkopen. Je maakt hier minder winst op, maar er zijn waarschijnlijk minder risico's aan verbonden.
Puntje 3: ook de 5de want hier heb je haast geen re-investments nodig.

De conclusie van de student om IND10_UT90 te kiezen is correct.

We krijgen enerzijds informatie over de spreiding en anderzijds over het gemiddelde rendement.

Wanneer we een horizontale lijn trekken op 103,8 besluiten we dat IND10_UT90 de beste investering is.

De student gebruikt de Star Plot goed en maakt de juiste vergelijkingen. Merk wel op dat het gebruik van de Star Plot beperkt is!

Vorige post op het forum is verkeerd geplaatst. Met betrekking tot deze vraag beantwoord de student de vraag correct. Wanneer men een lijn trekt op 104(103,8), ziet men dat deze lijn in alle notches ligt behalve in de notches van de laatste box. Deze lower notch ligt hoger dan 104. De laatste investering is dus de beste.
