We zien inderdaad dat na de 6de maand de curve een grote stijging kent en na maand 10 zien we dit opnieuw. Dit kan inderdaad wijzen op seizoensgebondenheid van deze reeks. Maar aan de hand van de grafiek van de mean plot is dit nog niet significant.

We moeten ook gaan zien naar de grafiek van de notched box plots. Hier zien we dit verschil ook weer terug, dus kunnen we stellen dat het verschil wel significant is.

De drie vragen die ontstaan bij de meanplot (EDA 1.3.3.20) zijn:

Antwoord: Ja
2. What is the magnitude of the shifts in location?
Antwoord: Van 6 tot 7 aanzienlijk en van 10 tot 11 groot.
3. Is there a distinct pattern in the shifts in location?
Antwoord: Nee.

Er kan sprake zijn van seizoenaliteit.

Ik ben wel tot de conclusie van seizoensgebondenheid gekomen maar heb niet besproken hoe ik daar aan kom.
Aan de hand van deze grafiek ga ik kijken of we kunnen spreken van seizoenaliteit.
Als ik naar de grafiek zie, zie ik een uitschieter rond maand 7 en maand 10. Er kan hier dus sprake zijn van seizoenaliteit.
Om de vraag volledig op te lossen ga ik nog onderzoeken of het verschil toevallig of significant is. Dit kan ik aflezen op de notched boxplot. Ik kan zien dat in maand 7 en maand 10 de notches sterk afwijken van een denkbeeldige horizontale door het midden. De andere notches liggen dus op ongeveer dezelfde lijn terwijl maand 7 en 10 er sterk van afwijken. Ik kan dus spreken van een significant verschil.
