De student geeft het correcte antwoord. Op de meanplot vertegenwoordigt het eerste punt het gemiddelde van alle gegevens van de maand maart in 2002, 2003,... het volgende punt dat gemiddelde van van april 2002, 2003,... Het geeft dus een periodiek gemiddelde weer.

De student heeft gelijk dat de seizonaliteit wel degelijk een effect heeft op de productie. Naast de mean-plot vinden we ook de notched boxplot - periodic subseries terug. De notches zijn hier zeer groot en overlappen elkaar soms. We zien enkele significante verschillen: bijvoorbeeld tussen de maanden augustus en september (punt 6 en 7) wat duidt op seizonaliteit.

ik zou hier nog aan willen toevoegen dat als we naar de notched box plots kijken we kunnen spreken van een significant verschil en dus zeer duidelijk van seizoengebondenheid.

deze significantie is dus tussen block index 1 en block index 5
