De student heeft deze vraag correct beantwoord. Je kan duidelijk afleiden van de grafiek dat de investeringen naar beneden zijn gegaan want de mediaan van investeringen ligt significant lager dan de rest.

Juiste conclusie, de mediaan van de investeringen ligt signicifant lager dan de rest. Dat zien we duidelijk bij de notched boxplots. Het heeft niets te maken met de spreiding maar enkel met de liggen tegenover de andere boxplots

Hier moet je inderdaad kijken naar de mediaan, deze ligt bij de investeringen significant lager. De spreiding heeft hier niets met te maken.
Je kan dit ook zien in de tabel van de boxplot notches. De lowerbound en het upperbound stellen de laagste en hoogste grens voor waarbinnen de mediaan kan fluctueren; dit is het betrouwbaarheidinterval dus. De upperbound van de investeringen ligt lager dan de lowerbound van de 3 andere reeksen.

De student trekt een juiste conclusie, vanaf maart 2001 kenden de investeringen de grootste relatieve daling.

We bekijken de investeringen en merken dat de upperbound lager is dan de lowerbound van alle andere datareeksen. De mediaan van de investeringen ligt dus lager dan de mediaan van de andere reeksen.

Een grote spreiding zegt niets over de relatieve daling t.o.v. basis 100. De notches liggen een stuk lager als de rest en t.o.v. basis 100. In de tabel kan je zien dat de upper bound van de investeringen duidelijk lager is dan de lower bound van de andere 3.
